The blossom on the Green was spectacular and, as many passers-by said, it often looked as if it were snowing. Once again the speed of change took me by surprise. I drew the central tree at the height of its blossoming, the full brilliance only lasting a couple of days. I stood under a neighbouring tree to draw, but the blossom swirled around me nonetheless.
