Increasingly, I noticed visual journeys between interior and exterior forms as I moved around my flat. In this image I drew those journeys alongside the calm, still pockets of space within my living space. Those small, little noticed, spaces seem to be the ones which gather together to make it ‘home’. A tension between dynamism and inertia felt central to this drawing, and to my wider life at the time. The drawing process was very intuitive, I waited to see what emerged in each drawing, rather than planning the image in advance.
