Alexandra Blum, ‘Winter on Laycock Green II’, graphite on paper, 29.7 x 42 cm, 2022

Although winter was in full swing when I drew this, Laycock Green still teemed with life. I wanted the image to be an accumulation of the continual interactions between birds, mammals and plants which I caught glimpses of as I drew.
